My 5 yr. old German Shorthaired Pointer and I have worked with several trainers over the years for both obedience training and field work. While Atlas and I have learned something from each of them, I knew we were both capable of much more. I also knew Jt's commitment to excellence and her professionalism. Dog training is not a hobby for her. She is dedicated professional and serious about her work. Atlas is a lovable but high energy hunting dog who works great in the field but is sometimes a little too enthusiastic around people, especially when he first meets them. He also loves to chase critters, and while this is a big asset in the field, it's not such a good trait around town. Atlas' first experience with Jt was during a home stay program. When he came home, I couldn't believe it. No matter how badly he wanted to, he no longer jumped on people when he greeted them. Instead, he sat, excitedly of course, but he sat, and waited to be petted. The best part, though, was having him under complete voice control. When I said "heel", he heeled. When I said "come", he came. Having a dog is one of the simplest yet greatest pleasures in life. Having a dog trained by Jt takes it to a whole 'nother level.
